Laro

LARŌ is the all-natural fragrance line of a Latina-owned artisan fragrance company based in Northern California. Founder and perfumer Loreto Remsing began making natural perfumes as a college student in the mid-1990s; self-taught and trained in graphic design, she also explored aromatherapy and herbalism before moving into full-time perfumery. Her work draws on flowers, places, seasons, people, desserts, sensory memories, Northern California landscapes, and local plant tinctures. Originally offered under LAROMATICA, the all-natural perfumes were separated into LARŌ after the shared identity caused customer confusion. LARŌ is now presented as the company’s luxury all-natural line, distinct from LAROMATICA’s mixed-media fragrances. Kulfi is a defining fragrance example: Ministry of Scent described it as the number-one LARŌ/Laromatica scent at its shop, and Remsing developed variations inspired by kulfi-dessert toppings.
