Laurence Dumont
The Laurence Dumont company was created in 1987 by Nadine Petit and Patrick Paris as a cosmetics business focused on perfumes and body care. It expanded into hair-removal products in 1999; in 2006, Régis Lelong took over and refocused the company on perfumes and hair removal. By 2008, its perfume activity included Les Senteurs Gourmandes, a line with a vanilla-oriented olfactory direction. Before a 2018 sale, perfume production and commercialization were transferred to Parfums Par Nature, while the original Laboratoire Laurence Dumont company ceased those activities at the beginning of 2018. After the sale, Parfums Par Nature retained Les Senteurs Gourmandes as a selective fragrance brand, with work spanning conventional, natural, and certified organic perfumes. In 2022, Les Senteurs Gourmandes joined Groupe NOVI’s natural-care and fragrance brands; it is currently presented as part of Groupe NOVI, with French-made fragrances built around unusual pairings and gourmand, floral, fruity, citrus, and woody families. Gourmand vanilla is the brand’s most clearly established fragrance signature.
