Lavender

Lavender House Perfumery was founded in 1991 by Louis and Francis Mamo and is based in Rowella, in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley. In 2018, new owners took over the business, replanted its lavender fields, and introduced Turkish, French, and heirloom roses. From its lavender-focused beginnings, the business developed into a botanical perfumery built around organically grown lavender, roses, and other herbs, with an emphasis on natural products and on-site cultivation and processing. It presents itself as Tasmania’s only working perfumery. Its fragrance identity is rooted in natural perfumes derived from lavender and rose harvests, alongside Australian and Tasmanian essential oils and extracts.
