Fragrance house
LDB
Founded in Sweden in 1945 by celebrity hairdresser Knut Wulff, LdB began with products made in the basement of his home using a kitchen machine. Its name comes from Lait de Beauté, the French phrase for “beauty milk,” and Wulff brought the original recipe from Paris. The brand expanded nationally through travelling salespeople before reaching wider beauty-industry channels. In 1955, LdB received royal purveyor status from Princess Sibylla. Today, LdB is owned by Orkla Care AB and is associated with Swedish body care, everyday skincare, and lasting, pleasant scents. A historical profile describes it as one of Sweden’s most purchased beauty products. Its fragrance legacy is represented by Creme Rich Jasmine, identified as a classic scent present since the brand’s beginning.
