Le Coq Sportif

Le Coq Sportif traces its origins to 1882, when Émile Camuset began the business in Romilly-sur-Seine, France. Its identity brings together sports performance, French craftsmanship, movement-focused design, and the relationship between sport and everyday style. In the 1930s, the brand created the modern tracksuit, extending its clothing expertise into training and warm-up apparel. Its relationship with the Tour de France began in 1951, when its workshops made jerseys for Tour teams; from 2012, it returned as equipment sponsor and produced the leaders’ jerseys. In March 2020, Le Coq Sportif became an official partner of the Paris 2024 Games and supplied French Olympic and Paralympic teams from 2021 to 2024, including apparel for more than 60 disciplines. The Paris collection was created by Stéphane Ashpool with the brand’s teams. Airesis relaunched and controlled the brand from 2005; after judicial restructuring was announced in November 2024, a consortium led by Dan Mamane and Mirabaud Patrimoine Vivant completed its acquisition of Airesis’s remaining majority stake on 4 July 2025.
