Le Frag
Le Frag was founded by Agnieszka Lewandowska, a Polish creative who moved to Barcelona in 2009 before entering the world of perfumery. Its origin story is rooted in her background in Warsaw’s Saska Kępa neighborhood and her identification with feeling different. The brand’s name combines an abbreviation of Lewandowska’s surname with “frag,” short for fragrance, while “LE” also refers to her mother Ewa’s initials. Le Frag builds its fragrances around personal stories, individuality, authentic self-expression, and layered narratives, often drawing on childhood characters and memories such as Pippi Longstocking and Alice in Wonderland. Its first catalogued fragrances appeared in 2021, with releases documented through 2024. Genesis, perfumed by Miguel Matos, is an early example of this narrative approach, linking origins and primal authenticity with Lewandowska’s first encounter with niche perfumery. Time Machine introduced a related but distinct premise: inviting the wearer on a personal journey through time rather than recounting Lewandowska’s own memories and childhood fascinations.
