Le Parfum d'Interdits
Le Parfum d’Interdits is an alternate name for Absolument, the fragrance house now presented as Absolument Parfumeur. Founded by Pascal Rolland and based in Aix-en-Provence and Venelles, France, the house combines liquorist know-how with niche perfumery and Provençal inspiration. Rolland produced Absolument Absinthe, described as the first absinthe-based perfume, in 2005; reference sources date its market launch to 2006. Absolument Homme and Absolument Femme followed, while the house’s creative identity joined Provençal absolutes with inherited perfumery traditions and innovation. In September 2013, La Treizième Note launched as a two-fragrance line developed by Rolland, perfumer Mark Villasek, and chef René Bergès, drawing inspiration from Bergès’s dishes. Absolument Absinthe remains the clearest fragrance marker in the available record: the house identifies it as the first translation of its absinthe heritage into high perfumery and lists it among its top sellers.
