Fragrance house
Leeming
Leeming is documented primarily through Thomas Leeming & Co. and the later Leeming-Pacquin consumer-products division, placing its fragrance identity within the mass-market cosmetics and personal-care sphere. In 1961, Chas. Pfizer purchased Thomas Leeming & Company and Pacquin, bringing the businesses into Pfizer’s consumer-products expansion. Leeming/Pacquin operated as a Pfizer personal-care-products division from about 1961 into the 2000s. In 2006, Pfizer’s worldwide Consumer Healthcare business was sold to Johnson & Johnson, and Leeming-Pacquin was reported as passing with it. Leeming’s documented fragrance history includes Skinny Dip, launched in 1970, followed by Skinny Dip Lemon in 1972 and Skinny Dip Wild Strawberry in 1973. The fragrance was also associated with an advertising campaign featuring actress Sandy Duncan.
