Legendary Fragrances

Legendary Fragrances is a United States niche fragrance brand and designer. Its earliest listed fragrance edition dates to 2007, and its catalogue contains eight fragrances. In 2017, Mike Mihaly Bragmayer and Thierry Bellet released Extrait and X.O. versions of Iris Gris under the Legendary Fragrances label. The project reconstructed Jacques Fath’s Iris Gris, a fragrance created in 1946/47 and later discontinued; specialist fragrance history describes the original as a major historical iris perfume and a museum-piece classic. The Iris Gris name also had a contested history: Thierry Bellet held U.S. rights from 2010, while ownership of the name was disputed in France in 2017 among Bragmayer, Hermès, and Panouge.
