LEN Histoire Privée

LEN Histoire Privée traces its story to perfume formulas preserved through the descendants of Countess Artukhovskaya von Olnhausen. Jelena von Olnhausen, identified as the brand’s founder, revived the formulas with perfumer Michel Almairac; the formulas were transformed into fragrances in 2015, and LEN Fragrance’s creation was completed in November 2018. In 2018, von Olnhausen founded LEN Fragrance with Silvio Denz, Lalique’s owner. LEN’s perfumes are presented as love stories, with narratives echoed in the packaging, and its first fragrance collection was named Histoire Privée in homage to the founding family love story. Thierry de Baschmakoff shaped the brand’s visual identity through its painted bottles and packaging, while Almairac was a central perfumer in its early creation. LEN describes its olfactory identity through artisanal perfumery, highly concentrated fragrances, memory, and individual stories. In 2019, Jeux Dangereux won the Fragrance Foundation Germany’s DUFTSTARS award for Artistic Independent Perfume.
