Les Bains Guerbois
Les Bains Guerbois traces its history to Paris in 1885, when François Auguste Guerbois founded the establishment at 7 rue du Bourg-l’Abbé. The site later evolved from a private bathhouse into Les Bains Douches, a nightclub, restaurant, and rock venue that opened in 1978. After Jean-Pierre Marois’s father acquired the historic site in the 1970s, Marois became its heir. Following the venue’s closure in 2010, he led its transformation and reopened Les Bains in March 2015 as a contemporary hotel and cultural venue. Identified as the fragrance brand’s founder and artistic director, Marois translated the address’s history into a Parisian perfume house. The fragrance project began with an olfactory identity for the hotel, followed by a scented candle in 2016 and an Eau de Parfum collection in 2018. Its collections organize that history into scent: Une Date, Une Histoire links fragrances to dates and eras associated with the address, while Formes & Matières draws on the building’s forms, motifs, and materials. 1900 L’Heure de Proust is identified as the brand’s best-selling fragrance in Asia, while 2015 Le Phénix won a FiFi Award in 2018.
