Les Copains

Created in Bologna in 1959 by Mario Bandiera, Les Copains took its name from the French radio show “Salut Les Copains” and began with knitwear. Its identity developed around Italian knitwear craftsmanship, quality, heritage, innovation, and designer-led creative expression; striped mini-pulls and cool-wool jackets contributed to its recognition from the 1970s through the 1990s. The brand’s creative identity was shaped by designers including Gianni Versace, Thierry Mugler, Karl Lagerfeld, Antonio Marras, Antonio Berardi, Albino D’Amato, and Alessandro Dell’Acqua. After the business and associated brands moved to Super Srl in 2019 and the brand was relaunched, Les Copains entered new ownership when OVS announced its acquisition in July 2022; the transaction was completed in September that year. Under OVS, it is positioned as an Italian brand with a versatile, refined style for the contemporary woman.
