Les Eaux Primordiales
Founded in 2015 in northern France by Arnaud Poulain, Les Eaux Primordiales takes its name from Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and its vision of primordial waters linked to the origin of life. The house combines northern French craftsmanship with industrial aesthetics, minimalist design, heritage, innovation, and authenticity. Poulain is the founder and olfactory architect, shaping the artistic direction, while perfumer Amélie Bourgeois has served as his mentor and collaborator in the technical development of the fragrances. Its perfumes are organized into conceptual collections including Superclassique, Supercritique, Superfluide, and Supermassive. Couleur Primaire, the first fragrance Poulain created in 2017, is described as the house’s iconic signature. In April 2026, Les Eaux Primordiales marked its tenth anniversary with the release of Élévation.
