Leslie Blodgett

Leslie Blodgett is the founder associated with bareMinerals and Bare Escentuals, which was founded in California in 1976. During Blodgett’s tenure, Bare Escentuals grew from a small West Coast bath-and-body retailer into a global beauty brand and went public in 2006. Its public identity was closely tied to mineral makeup, television shopping, Blodgett’s on-air role, and community-oriented customer relationships. On December 6, 2021, Shiseido transferred the bareMinerals business and related assets to AI Beauty Holdings Ltd., an Advent International-owned entity; bareMinerals is now part of the Advent-backed Orveon group.
