Lili Bermuda
Lili Bermuda traces its origins to 1928, when W.B. Smith and his daughter Madeline established the Bermuda Perfumery. The brand builds its identity around translating Bermuda’s natural environment—including ocean air, cedarwood, freesias, and loquats—into fragrance. Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone and her late husband, Leslie Kirby Brackstone, acquired the perfumery in 2004, and Isabelle took ownership; she created Coral as her first fragrance in 2006. That year, a rebrand introduced square Eau de Toilette spray bottles, modernizing the visual identity. In 2018, the perfumery marked its 90th anniversary with a limited-edition Legacy Collection built around its earliest Bermuda-flower fragrances. A further rebrand announced in November 2025 moved Lili Bermuda exclusively to Eau de Parfum formulations and refillable bottles while retaining its fragrances and formulas. Its fragrance legacy also includes Mary Celestia, a recreation of a perfume associated with bottles recovered from the 1864 wreck of the Mary Celestia. The brand’s work is presented through craftsmanship, storytelling, and an island-specific creative identity under Isabelle’s perfumery direction.
