Liquides Imaginaires

Liquides Imaginaires first took shape at Paris Design Week in October 2011, when Philippe Di Méo developed an artistic project around L’Eau Bénite and perfume’s spiritual origins. Through his collaboration with David Frossard, the project evolved into a formal fragrance brand launched in 2013 alongside Différentes Latitudes’ Liquides perfume bar. Founded and creatively shaped by Di Méo, the house builds legends and myths that are translated into scent through collaborations with perfumers and other creatives. Its identity lies in the passage between the material and immaterial, treating perfume as a symbolic, spiritual, emotional, and narrative medium rather than only a cosmetic product. Fragrances are organized in trilogies built around paired ideas such as sacred and profane, flesh and spirit, and shadow and light. In 2018, Nichebox acquired the brand, while Di Méo and Frossard remained involved in creative or management roles. In 2024, Liquides Imaginaires introduced The Imaginarium, an experimental olfactory laboratory centered on hybridization and involving students from the Givaudan perfume school. Blanche Bête, created by Di Méo and Louise Turner, received a 2022 Fragrance Foundation France award for best niche fragrance in the affiliated-brand category.
