Lisa Hoffman

Lisa Hoffman Beauty was established by Lisa Hoffman in 2006, and its fragrance line followed in 2007 with the Variations Collection. The beauty line launched after six years of development, growing from Hoffman’s travel-informed interest in beauty and fragrance. Based in Los Angeles, Hoffman is a perfumer whose background includes fragrance education in Grasse, France. The brand’s creative identity connects fine fragrance with contemporary wearable use, drawing inspiration from destinations, feelings, and scent memories. In 2012, Hoffman collaborated with jeweler Tom Binns on a fragrance-jewelry collection that combined fine fragrance with jewelry design. The brand received Women’s Wear Daily’s Newcomer of the Year and Allure Best of Beauty recognition in 2008 and 2009. Fragrance jewelry is the clearest defining collection-level feature identified in the evidence: fragrance-infused beads allow scent to be worn at pulse points, and the jewelry uses several of Hoffman’s signature scents.
