Lise Watier

In Montreal, Lise Watier founded the Lise Watier Institute in 1968, offering courses in makeup, self-esteem, personal well-being, and grooming. In 1972, she created Lise Watier Cosmétiques after deciding to develop her own cosmetics line. The brand’s origin story connects Watier’s television work on women’s issues with a mission of helping women discover their beauty, confidence, and individuality. It presents itself as a Canadian brand rooted in Quebec and Montreal. In 2007, Toronto-based private-equity firm Imperial Capital acquired control of Lise Watier Cosmétiques, with Kensington Capital as co-investor. In fragrance, Neiges is identified as the brand’s defining scent and its number-one fragrance for 30 years.
