Lismore

Lismore is documented as a Waterford crystal design pattern, not as an independent fragrance house. The pattern was created in 1952 by designer Miroslav Havel, with diamond and wedge cuts inspired by Lismore Castle in County Waterford. The wider Waterford heritage traces to 1783, while its modern postwar revival began in 1947, when Karel Bacik established a new operation in Ireland and appointed Havel chief designer. Waterford acquired Wedgwood in 1986; after the resulting group entered receivership in 2009, most assets transferred to KPS Capital Partners and the WWRD Holdings structure. Waterford’s public identity links Lismore with Irish craftsmanship, crystal design, and contemporary interpretations of traditional cutting. The associated Waterford Lismore fragrance launched in 2008 as Waterford’s first fragrance, developed by perfumer Harry Fremont. Its bottle was designed for reuse as a bud vase after the perfume was finished.
