Looney Tunes

Looney Tunes began in 1930, with Sinkin' in the Bathtub, starring Bosko, identified as the first Warner Bros. cartoon. During Warner Bros.' studio era, the company produced Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies for 30 years, featuring characters including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck. Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng shaped many of the series' classics: Jones was credited with inventing Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and Pepe Le Pew, while Freleng was identified with the creation of Porky Pig and Yosemite Sam appearances. The cartoons had been shown continuously on television since 1960, and in 1985 they returned to ABC's regular Saturday-morning schedule through The Bugs Bunny Looney Tunes Comedy Hour. Looney Tunes and its characters are Warner Bros. property; on April 8, 2022, WarnerMedia combined with Discovery to create Warner Bros. Discovery, whose brands included Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network.
