Lophiel

Lophiel Perfume House was founded in Sweden in 2022 by Swedish-Iranian fragrance designer Ramin Norouzi. Its origin story reaches back to 1977, when Norouzi’s grandfather, Mousa, met a perfumer in Monte Carlo and conceived a family-owned perfume house; after his grandfather’s death, Norouzi pursued the project. Lophiel combines Scandinavian design and identity with French perfumery tradition, framing fragrance through emotion, memory, personality, and storytelling. The name derives from the angel of beauty, while its debut collection, The Scent of Angels, gives each fragrance the name of an angel associated with distinct characteristics. The house describes its fragrances as genderless or unisex, linking them to inner beauty, strength, emotional states, and personal identity. Its compositions were developed in collaboration with French perfumers Sébastien Lacouture and Helene Vonesch.
