Loree Rodkin

Loree Rodkin’s career moved from designing homes for rock musicians to talent management and jewelry design, the work that became her continuing business. Her jewelry line debuted in 1990, and its creative language draws on Gothic and medieval references, including Gothic buildings and furniture, armor, and Romeo and Juliet. Elizabeth Taylor became Rodkin’s first jewelry client after seeing her designs, helping launch her jewelry career. The brand’s handmade couture jewelry uses diamonds, platinum, gold, and precious stones, with inspiration from Rodkin’s world travels. In 2009, Rodkin designed jewelry worn by Michelle Obama for inaugural events; the jewelry was later donated to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and entered its collection. Rodkin’s fragrance line grew from making her own perfume and developing home products for personal use. Gothic I is identified as Loree Rodkin’s signature scent. In 2016, Rodkin entered a creative partnership with Parisian perfumer Kilian Hennessy, and the resulting Loree Rodkin for Kilian scented fine-jewelry collection launched on November 1.
