Lucky Scent

Founded in 2002 by Franco Wright and Adam Eastwood, Lucky Scent began as an e-commerce business focused on niche, artisan, and independent fragrances, at a time when online perfume retail was widely considered impractical. The founders shaped the business around content, photography, curation, and helping customers discover independent fragrance houses. Lucky Scent also introduced an early online sampling program, allowing customers to try niche scents before committing to a full bottle. In 2006, it opened its first Scent Bar in Hollywood, extending its online discovery concept into an in-person setting. The company’s retail identity remains organized around exploration: its Scent Bar groups fragrances by scent profile or theme rather than primarily by brand and presents the experience as low-pressure. In 2025, Monogram Capital Partners acquired a majority stake in Lucky Scent, changing its previously self-funded ownership while retaining the founders’ involvement.
