Lurker & Strange

Founded in 2014, Lurker & Strange is a self-owned, one-person perfumery based in Harrow, Ontario, with Suzy Strange as its owner and maker. Suzy creates the fragrances in her studio and handles the labels, perfume-making, sampling, bottling, and order packing. The brand’s creative identity draws on gothic and unconventional aesthetics, expressed through dark florals, resins, spices, and woods. Its current format is primarily handmade perfume oils produced in small batches; these are vegan and cruelty-free and use professional perfumery aroma compounds and essential oils. The brand’s Etsy shop has been active since 2019, and by November 2021 Lurker & Strange said it was placing greater emphasis on its own website while importing reviews from Etsy. Its fragrance identity is best represented by the broader gothic family of dark florals, resins, spices, and woods rather than by one documented signature scent.
