Fragrance house

MADAME GREY

Madame Grey is a fragrance house founded by Cassandra Grey, whose broader estate was established in 2011 as a studio and private art collection. The brand organizes its identity around estate catalogues—curated records of treasured possessions and a life’s legacy—with fragrance presented as part of that inheritance. Grey began developing Madame Grey’s defining personal fragrance in 2016, first making small batches as private gifts rather than commercial products. After selling Violet Grey to Farfetch in 2022, she retained Madame Grey’s intellectual property, later left Farfetch’s operating role, and began working on the fragrance house full-time. In November 2024, Grey finalized the fragrance with perfumer Jérôme Epinette. Released in 2025, the debut extrait de parfum was framed around “the one that got away” and issued as 1,100 handcrafted bottles, each numbered, signed, and dated. The brand’s second release, The Zodiacs, comprises twelve home-fragrance candles developed by Grey, astrologer Karen Thorne, and Epinette, extending the house’s work from personal scent into home fragrance.
