MAHALO Skin Care

MAHALO Skin Care is a founder-formulated, woman-owned skincare brand crafted in the mountains of Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi, since 2013. Founder Merina Eldan returned to the Hawaiian Islands in late 2012 after working in hospitality and spa, drawing on her maternal lineage, her grandmother’s herbal knowledge, and her spa experience to develop a beauty practice grounded in reverence, gratitude, nature, and care. The name “mahalo” reflects an early philosophy of gratitude, empowerment, healing, and attention to the mind and soul as well as the face and body. Its formulations combine plant botanicals with minerals, peptides, ceramides, antioxidants, fermented extracts, and other science-supported ingredients selected for their combined performance. Eldan is presented as the brand’s creatrix, founder, and formulator, and as the maker of an artisan botanical line in Hawaiʻi. Today, MAHALO describes skincare as its first expression within “The House of Devotional Beauty,” a broader concept centered on ritual and care for the skin, body, and soul.
