Maison Anthony Marmin
Founded in 2013 by perfumer Anthony Marmin and Farhiya Bashir Hussein, Maison Anthony Marmin began under the name Maison Abdul Karim Al Faransi. Marmin, also known as Abdul Karim Al Faransi, was born and raised in northern France; after embracing Islam in 2001, he studied Arabian olfactory traditions and developed his perfumery practice while living in London from 2011. In 2020, the house became Maison Anthony Marmin and established its identity in Dubai. Hussein, born in Somalia, is the house’s co-founder and has contributed to its direction, identity, and evolution, evaluating each composition before it joins the collection. The maison’s creative language brings Arabian perfumery codes together with French elegance, using French structure, balance, contrast, and measured composition. Its independent, artisanal practice centers on small-batch perfume oils, patience, maturation, and carefully selected materials. Sheikh Al Faransi is a defining example of this identity, expressing the meeting of Marmin’s French origins and Arabian traditions.
