Maison Berliner
Maison Berliner is a French perfume house based in Paris and associated with French perfumery savoir-faire. Its founder left his previous professional world in 2020 to create the house; after temporarily losing his sense of smell for more than three months during the COVID-19 pandemic, he recovered it during a trip to Grasse. He then visited perfume workshops, developed relationships with creators and distributors, and worked as an independent perfume seller before launching Maison Berliner. Jean-Michel Duriez became the house’s key creative collaborator, providing its first creative direction and distinctive identity. After more than a year of research and exchanges, he created the three core fragrances Pomme Tonka, Mûre Iris, and Ambre Ananas. The house’s olfactory identity combines fruit-led compositions with classic French perfumery materials including tonka, amber, and iris butter; EOTRA dates Pomme Tonka to 2024 and identifies it as expressing the Duriez collaboration and the house’s signature. Maison Berliner was registered in Paris on 20 January 2022 as a SASU.
