Maison Douze was launched in 2018 as a fragrance brand created by Franco-Lebanese founder Samer Zakharia, whose earlier fragrance roles included YSL Parfums and Kenzo Parfums. Developed from his interests in astrology and perfumery, the house presents a contemporary Parisian identity that connects scent with the twelve zodiac signs and with mystical or divinatory associations. Its original creative concept paired each sign with a real person from Zakharia’s circle, translating personal stories into fragrance portraits. The first twelve fragrances were created with perfumers Bertrand Duchaufour, Amélie Bourgeois, and Anne-Sophie Behaghel. The zodiac collection is the brand’s defining format, comprising twelve fragrances corresponding to the signs. Accord Tacite offers a documented example of that approach: it is Maison Douze’s Libra fragrance and a Duchaufour creation.
