Maison W was founded in Paris in 2016 by French perfumer Anouck Leblanc, with an approach that combines traditional fragrance techniques and modern sensibilities. Trademark records published between 2021 and 2022 identify Far Rich International Corporation as the applicant for the Maison W mark covering perfumes and cosmetics, while a French company named MAISON W was created in November 2023 with a declared business in perfumes, essential oils, and cosmetics. In May 2024, Maison W made its first entry into Taiwan. Its first perfume, Rose Garden, was created with the Provence fragrance workshop Cadentia and perfumer Jeremy Sabater. Rose Garden was later featured in Taiwan as a fragrance gift, with a floral and lightly fruity profile and a woody drydown.
