Maksim Perfume

Maksim Perfume is a Thailand-based niche fragrance house founded by Maksim Bortnikoff, heir to the Bortnikoff perfume house. It emerged as Bortnikoff’s independent venture after he created Le Voyage Oriental and Victoria under his father Dmitry’s Bortnikoff Perfumes brand. His training at The Perfumer’s World in Bangkok and work with his father at Bortnikoff Parfum shaped a practice combining classical perfumery traditions with modern techniques. Maksim Bortnikoff is the brand’s central creative figure and perfumer. Its fragrances begin with scenes that are translated into wearable compositions using rare natural materials and modern perfumery techniques. The first collection, launched in 2024, comprised Amber Balsam, Café Mystique, and Musk Couture. Together, these perfumes established a cohesive identity around oriental compositions built on oud, ylang-ylang, labdanum, and a balsamic accord, with variations involving oud and vetiver, coffee and propolis, or tobacco and benzoin.
