Maori Collection
Maori Collection is a fragrance collaboration between Russian beauty retailer Rive Gauche and Italian perfumer Paolo Terenzi. Its earliest documented fragrances date to 2017, with recorded releases continuing through 2025. The original concept comprised eight unisex fragrances by Terenzi, each inspired by one of eight principal Māori symbols traditionally used as sacred tattoo amulets. The collection’s visual identity presents fragrance as a modern personal amulet, while its bottle decoration draws on traditional Polynesian tattoo motifs. Terenzi is credited as the collection’s perfumer, including for Light Sense, and the fragrances are produced in Italy. The project has grown beyond its initial eight-fragrance concept; the current archive lists 23 Maori Collection fragrances, with editions continuing through 2025.
