Fragrance house
Maradona
The current House of Maradona presents the name as a legacy project built around Diego Armando Maradona, with culture, memory, fashion, and football as its themes. Its documented fragrance history began in November 2001, when an eau de toilette bearing his name was launched at a tribute match and commercialized by Swiss company Aura Parfums. New York fragrance consultant Ann Gottlieb designed the men’s scent, which was tied to Maradona’s public sporting identity. The name later became the subject of a European trademark dispute: after Diego Maradona’s death in November 2020, Sattvica sought to record a transfer of the DIEGO MARADONA mark, but EUIPO rejected the transfer in March 2022, and the EU General Court confirmed that refusal on 7 November 2023. In 2026, Fine Perfumery stated that it held the official licence to distribute the Diego Maradona Fragrance Collection, while a July report described the launch of the Diego Maradona Sport Fragrance Collection.
