Marc-Antoine Barrois

Marc-Antoine Barrois founded his own Maison de Couture in 2009, following earlier work with Dominique Sirop and Jean-Paul Gaultier at Hermès. Based in Paris, the Maison entered perfumery in 2016, when Barrois began collaborating with perfumer Quentin Bisch; B683 was their first fragrance. Their creative process connects haute couture and perfume through materials, leather, discreet luxury, fantasy, mythology, and imagined planetary worlds, with Barrois contributing emotions and imagination and Bisch translating them into scent. On April 1, 2019, they launched Ganymede, which the Maison identifies as its best-selling fragrance. Ganymede received the 2020 FiFi Award for Best Fragrance from an Independent Brand in France and Perfume Extraordinaire in the United Kingdom, as well as a 2020 Experts Award in France for author perfumery in the independent-brand category. The Maison is independent and family-owned, and the brand was created as an expression of Barrois’s creativity, fantasy world, and childhood.
