Fragrance house
marcantoine
Marc-Antoine Barrois founded his own Maison de Couture in Paris in 2009, following earlier work with Dominique Sirop and Jean-Paul Gaultier at Hermès. Beginning as a couture house focused on made-to-measure clothing, it expanded into a creative house spanning couture, fragrance, and contemporary art. Barrois met perfumer Quentin Bisch in 2015, and their continuing partnership joins Barrois’s narratives and imagination with Bisch’s scent work. The Maison entered fragrance in 2016 with B683, first circulated to loyal clients and launched at Colette in Paris; 500 units sold in its first three months, requiring new production. Ganymede, released in 2019, features a leather-mineral accord and received three Fragrance Foundation Awards in 2020. The Maison is independent and family-owned, with the Marc-Antoine Barrois trademark owned by an affiliate of Barrois CPHP Inc. In 2025, Aldebaran was presented through the Mission Aldebaran installation at Milan Design Week.
