Fragrance house
Maria Cristofilis
The house is presented today as Maria Christofilis Fine Jewelry & Parfums. Maria Christofilis studied art history before moving to Europe to study fashion design and merchandising at Polimoda in Florence. After moving to Italy, she worked with a Florentine perfumer to launch Anthousa in 2004, a home-fragrance collection shaped by travel memories and personal associations. Rooted in Mediterranean references, Anthousa included candles and diffusers made to scent living spaces rather than for personal wear. By March 2013, Christofilis had sold the Anthousa Collection. She returned to personal fragrance under her own name with Fleur09, documented in January 2015 as a new limited-edition scent. Created by Rodrigo Flores-Roux, Fleur09 is a signature fragrance centered on white florals, including tuberose, jasmine, and orange blossom. The current fragrance collection is organized around Fleur09 and the essence of the white flower.
