Fragrance house
Maria Sharapova
Maria Sharapova’s fragrance identity began with a September 15, 2004 exclusive worldwide license with Parlux Fragrances for fragrances and related beauty products. The venture was structured as a licensed celebrity-name fragrance business: Parlux handled manufacturing, promotion, and sales, while Sharapova retained ownership of the licensed mark. Born in Nyagan, Russia, she moved to the United States at six and turned professional at 14. Her public identity was built primarily through tennis, including a Wimbledon title at 17 in 2004, five Grand Slam singles titles, and a career Grand Slam completed with French Open victories in 2012 and 2014. She founded the confectionery line Sugarpova in 2012 and retired from professional tennis on February 26, 2020, after winning 36 WTA titles. In 2025, she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Her fragrance legacy is represented by the eponymous Maria Sharapova perfume, launched in 2005 with Parlux and listed as the only perfume under her name; it is described as fruity-floral.
