Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey’s fragrance brand began in 2007 with M by Mariah Carey, launched through Elizabeth Arden, which served as the fragrance’s exclusive worldwide licensee. Carey contributed directly to the scent’s creation and treated involvement in its details as central to the project. M translated personal motifs into fragrance and design, combining Moroccan incense, Living Tahitian Tiare, and toasted-marshmallow memories with a purple bottle topped by her butterfly icon. In 2010, Elizabeth Arden and Bazooka Candy Brands launched Lollipop Bling, a collection inspired by Ring Pop and Carey’s marriage proposal that combined fragrance, candy, and music. The launch marked an evolution from a single celebrity signature scent to a themed collection tied to Carey’s personal story and visual imagery. Across these projects, the brand identity centers on Carey’s authorship, personal memories, butterfly symbolism, and music-world persona.
