Marie Jeanne

Georges Maubert created Marie Jeanne in Grasse in 2014, naming the brand for his maternal grandmother, Marie-Jeanne. It began with scented candles, introduced its first colognes in 2018, and added its first eaux de parfum in 2019. The house is rooted in Grasse and in Maubert’s family connection to Robertet, the natural-ingredient perfume business associated with his family for five generations and since 1850. Its creative identity emphasizes natural raw materials, traceability, and compositions designed to foreground the smell of the material itself. Green, laboratory-inspired bottles and wooden boxes carry that approach into the packaging. Maubert develops the creations with perfumers including Sidonie Lancesseur, Alexis Dadier, Karine Vinchon, Serge de Oliveira, and Michel Almairac. Beyond its core fragrances, Marie Jeanne created an olfactory experience for Prune Nourry’s 2021 “Projet Phénix” exhibition and collaborated on a scented candle with the Musée Barbier-Mueller, Arik Levy, and Zoé Ouvrier in 2022. By 2024, its fragrance offering included raw-material-focused eaux de parfum, heritage colognes, and an aromatherapy mist collection.
