Mas Saeed

Mas Saeed presents itself under the Arabic name Muhammad Abdulkhaleq Saeed and connects its identity to the legacy of Abdulkhaleq Saeed. Its roots lie in a family business that began with textiles and ready-made clothing in the 1950s before expanding into fragrances and cosmetics during the 1970s. The 1970s also saw Aghrab, a fragrance linked to a Saudi song. In 1999, the Abdulkhaleq Saeed group emerged from the Muhammad Saeed partnership; a trade profile described it as privately owned by Abdulkhaleq Saeed and his sons. A 2012 gazette record lists the company as a Saudi applicant for trademarks covering perfumes, essential oils, cosmetics, and related personal-care goods. Across its fragrance identity, Mas Saeed draws on amber, oud, patchouli, coffee, and Arabic spices, associating these materials with the founders’ cultural memory and upbringing.
