Masque Fragranze
Masque Fragranze traces its origins to Milan, where Alessandro Brun and Riccardo Tedeschi established Masque on April 1, 2010; the fragrance brand launched in 2013. The founders developed its concept from written memories and “scenes” involving places, relationships, emotions, and recurring dreams. Its creative method casts the founders as playwrights and producers, while different perfumers interpret individual fragrances; the brand does not use an in-house perfumer and prominently credits each perfumer on its bottles and boxes. The Opera collection is organized into four acts—Experiences, Monologues, Relationships, and Dreams—and was described in 2024 as complete with 16 fragrances. Among its individual works, L’Attesa, interpreted by Luca Maffei, took roughly one and a half to two years to develop around an iris-and-champagne concept, while Romanza, interpreted by Cristiano Canali, uses the collection’s scene-based narrative and visual format.
