Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion is the professional name of Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, an American rapper from Houston, Texas, who first drew attention through social-media freestyle videos while attending Prairie View A&M University in 2013. She signed with Houston independent label 1501 Certified Entertainment in 2018 and subsequently worked with 300 Entertainment; this period included the Tina Snow EP and Fever mixtape. The Tina Snow era established an alter-ego-based creative approach, with Megan describing Tina Snow as one of several characters inspired by Pimp C’s Tony Snow persona. In 2019, Hot Girl Summer became a public identity and community concept centered on confidence and self-affirmation, with fans known as the Hotties. In 2021, she won Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for the “Savage Remix” with Beyoncé. A 2024 Warner Music Group distribution partnership preserved her ownership of masters and publishing and her creative control over releases; an August 2026 Interscope partnership continued releases through Hot Girl Productions while she retained ownership of her masters and publishing. Her fragrance debut, the limited-edition unisex Hot Girl Summer Eau de Parfum, was announced with Coty in July 2026.
