Meo Fusciuni
Meo Fusciuni began as an idea in November 2009 and emerged publicly on 18 June 2010 with the launch of its first Nota di Viaggio fragrance. Founded by Sicilian perfumer Giuseppe Imprezzabile, the project was joined in 2012 by Federica Castellani, who provides its artistic direction. Imprezzabile studied industrial chemistry and herbal techniques, developing an approach rooted in chemistry, botany, aromatherapy, ethnobotany, travel, and poetry. The name combines “Meo,” derived from his father Bartolomeo, with “Fusciuni,” his grandfather’s nickname associated with flowing or moving in Sicilian usage. Meo Fusciuni is an independent existential project and intimate diary in scent, linking science and spirituality, memory and travel, and using fragrance for storytelling, meditation, and transformation. Each fragrance is treated as an autobiographical chapter shaped by words, memories, emotions, and journeys. Its early work formed a travel-centered trilogy corresponding to Istanbul, Morocco, and Sicily, while the fragrances are grouped into Travel Memories, Luminous Self-Portraits, and Dark Self-Portraits. In 2018, Little Song opened the Metamorphosis cycle. In 2025, the brand returned to Pitti Fragranze with Isola and a reinterpreted edition of 1# Nota di Viaggio – Rites de Passage. Viole Nere and Odor 93 are identified as creations for which Imprezzabile is famous.
