Mercedes
Mercedes-Benz traces its technological heritage to Carl Benz’s 1886 automobile patent and Gottlieb Daimler’s motor carriage developed that same year. The brand took shape in the summer of 1926 through the merger of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie., while its three-pointed-star and laurel-wreath trademark had been created in 1925. Over time, Mercedes-Benz extended its design, quality and aesthetic into selected lifestyle products beyond automobiles. The brand entered personal fragrance in 2011, launching its first men’s fragrance at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes on 19 September, in partnership with French company INCC Group and with development by perfumer Olivier Cresp. Its fragrance identity uses the three-pointed star alongside themes of innovation, creativity, excellence and modernity, with Olivier Cresp, Honorine Blanc and Dominique Ropion among its collaborating master perfumers. On 16 April 2024, Give Back Beauty acquired INCC Parfums and formalized a long-term fragrance partnership with Mercedes-Benz covering the Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach labels. Mercedes-Benz Woman Eau de parfum is labelled a bestseller on the brand’s fragrance site.
