Michael Cinco

Michael Cinco is a Filipino couture designer and Dubai-based brand. Born in Samar, Philippines, Cinco studied Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman and trained at Slim’s Fashion and Arts School in Manila before moving to Dubai in 1997. He established Michael Cinco Haute Couture in 2003, while the independent Michael Cinco label was established by the end of 2013. The brand’s identity centers on couture gowns and bridalwear marked by intricate craftsmanship, beadwork, embroidery, crystals, vibrant color, and bold silhouettes. Its international visibility grew through celebrity and red-carpet dressing; in 2011, Cinco guest-judged America’s Next Top Model as the first Filipino designer to feature on the show, and he received a Philippine presidential award in 2014. The brand is a partnership between Cinco and Egyptian businessman Dr. Sayed Ali, who manages the label while Cinco serves as creative director. In 2022, Cinco introduced the brand’s first ready-to-wear line in New York. In October 2023, he presented the Spain-inspired Couture 2024 collection in Dubai and launched the MICHAEL CINCO Parfum fragrance line alongside it.
