Miller et Bertaux
Miller et Bertaux was founded in Paris in 1985 by Francis Miller and Patrick Bertaux, who opened a Marais shop for their clothing creations and objects collected on their travels. The founders worked across fashion, decoration, painting, literature, and performance, making travel part of both their professional and personal story. The brand later expanded from clothing and lifestyle objects into fragrance, treating perfume as part of a broader art-of-living universe. It entered perfumery in 2006 with three fragrances—#1 Parfum Trouvé, #2 Spiritus/Land, and #3 Green, Green, Green and... Green—intended to be mixed. In 2008, A Quiet Morning and Shanti Shanti formed a pair centered on the founders’ interpretation of India and their experiences there. Across the collection, fragrances draw on travel memories, cultural references, and imagined places for women and men without a gender distinction. The same concept now extends to a Home collection inspired by journeys, remembered moments, architecture, and landscapes.
