Mimmina

Mimmina traces its origins to 1953, when Imola Giramondi began making clothing in the Arezzo area and adopted “Mimmina” as her professional name. The formal company was established at Badia al Pino, near Arezzo, in 1962; another historical account dates its formation to 1963. During the 1960s through the 1980s, Mimmina developed as an Italian women’s ready-to-wear fashion house distributed across reported markets in Europe, the United States and Canada. Giramondi’s daughter, Donella, and son-in-law, Ettore Catalani, later joined the business, whose direct family activity is reported to have continued until 1996. The brand’s identity combines Italian style, quality, creativity and a family tradition connected to its original workforce and design culture. In January 2009, Mimmina announced a fashion relaunch through a six-year production licence granted to Erregiesse, beginning with the autumn/winter 2009–10 collection. Its fragrance history dates to at least 1971, while the Mimmina Flower Collection was introduced in 2013 after the brand’s return to the perfume market.
