mirabelle
Based at the Grallet-Dupic distillery in Rozelieures, Lorraine, France, Mirabelle traces its family agricultural and distilling history to 1895, when Michel Grallet planted the first mirabelle trees. His son Jean later developed the orchard and installed a distillation workshop. In 1973, agronomist Hubert Grallet and his wife, Anne-Marie, took over the family business and began selling eaux-de-vie and liqueurs directly from the property. They founded Maison de la Mirabelle in 2002 with their daughter Sabine and her husband, Christophe Dupic, to promote the local fruit and share their knowledge. The family expanded into whisky in 2007 with the launch of Lorraine’s first whisky. Its fragrance identity draws on mirabellier blossom and the kernel of the mirabelle stone. L’Or du Verger, the defining fragrance project associated with Maison de la Mirabelle, launched in January 2009 after about eight years of development led by Anne-Marie Grallet, inspired by flowering orchards and completed with a perfumer in Grasse. By 2023, the Maison was described as a family operation combining orchard production, distilling, fragrance and cosmetics, and whisky.
