Miraculum
Founded in Kraków in 1924 by physician Leon Luser, Miraculum was among Poland’s first cosmetics companies. It received the Grand Prix for face powder at the 1931 World Exhibition in Paris and entered perfumery in 1955 with luxury perfumes in glass bottles. In 1971, it introduced Pani Walewska, named for the historical figure Maria Walewska and distinguished by packaging styled like Napoleon’s hat. The perfume’s cobalt-blue bottle became Miraculum’s most recognizable product during the PRL period. In 2010, Grupa Kolastyna changed its corporate name to Miraculum S.A.; after arrangement proceedings were completed in August 2011, the company returned to that name without the bankruptcy-proceedings suffix. Miraculum presents its enduring identity as a Polish cosmetics company combining historical formulas and packaging with skincare, fragrance, depilatory, and make-up categories. It marked its centenary in 2024 and highlights CHOPIN PERFUMES, a premium eau de parfum line connected with Polish cultural heritage through an exclusive agreement with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
