Miscellaneous
Misc. Goods Co. was founded in Louisville, Kentucky, by Tyler Deeb in 2012, after he designed a deck of playing cards and launched a Kickstarter campaign to produce it. From that beginning, the company developed from playing cards and lifestyle objects into a design business making objects, fragrances, and experiences, with an identity centered on usefulness, clarity, durability, care, and a clear point of view. Deeb’s meeting with British perfumer Sarah McCartney at a Los Angeles trade show in October 2015 led to Underhill, developed through 13 prototype styles and released as the company’s first solid cologne in 2016. Its fragrance collection is place-based and earthy; Underhill draws on southeastern woods, cedar, smoke, tobacco, and ale. In 2025, Misc. Goods Co. and McCartney collaborated on Nameless Earth and King’s Market, launching the project through Kickstarter while keeping it independent.
